Ever wondered if it was possible to get through a long flight without that worn out look? Yes it is possible and we have some tips to share. Enjoy!

End Product
I came home a couple of nights ago and extremely famished. And of course nothing looked exciting appetizing. Through the corner of my eye I scoped some frozen shrimp. Hmm veggies, shrimp, tacos..Viola! So I began.

add shrimp(s)
I add a  little olive oil in my pan and I wait till its hot. Then I add my garlic, onion, and pepper mix. I keep mixing till my mixture caramelizes.

I add my veggies, which were originally frozen. I thawed and defrosted it in the microwave before adding to the pan.

The Wheat tacos seem pretty excited at this point

Then I cut up some fresh tomatoes and add on the Tacos
I create my base with spinach and cheese

ready to be eaten

up close & personal...

Voila!

Okay a couple nights after peering at my fridge for a full minute, I decided to go get something to cook from the grocery store....And I bought snails. Luv snails, really do, I just don't have the patience to clean snails. Way too much effort. Well I boiled the snails with tomatoes, pepper salt, garlic and onions...

Okay for the second part of dinner. I made an experimental version of plantain porridge. Instead of cooking with a mix of ripe and unripe plantains, I stuck to just ripe plantains. I boiled them with tomatoes, brocolli, celery, red onoins, habenero, palmoil and crayfish. Let just say AWESOME!!!! lol. Turned out pretty good.

I woke up one morning and decided my  room needed some sprucing up. So here is a  really quick project I decided to do; it took about ten minutes. Enjoy!

Take the flower heads from original stalk
replace with stem of appropriate size
Milk jug used

Almost finished....a little rearrangement and ....

Viola!

Well when I moved to my new apartment last year, and I decided I was going try something new.  A beach theme in my living room!  Well this is what the center piece looks like.

For the base, I used a cork board frame with white borders. Then I placed silk cloth on the frame . After that I randomly arranged sea shells, on the cloth and in the glasses.

Well  after winding down from all the new year chaos, I  decided to give the walls in my room a little makeover. I rearranged some of the posters in my room and created little Styrofoam squares using scrap book paper. Well here are some pics of what my wall art looks like. Enjoy.

I recently graduated and of course it was awesooooooooooome!!! at least I can rest for a while before I go back to all that school. Lucky for me I got my dream new apartment.......but....no furniture. As a recent graduate with very little money to spend, I had to do the best I could with my home decor. You know what that means...gotta get creative...well here are a couple of ideas to hopefully inspire you if you are in a similar predicament.

First of all I present to you my wool flowers I absolutely love them, it took me about 3 hours to make.
I bought four $1 vases from walmart and sea shells from local craft store. I placed ribbons around the neck of the vases. I also used kebab sticks to make the stem.

Here is the tutorial link on how to make the flower head: http://www.domestifluff.com/2008/10/how-to-make-pom-pom-flowers/

My second feature is a couple of bookcases i bought from the local ikea store. Specifically two billy bookcases. But as you can imagine this was a little too plain for me, so I decided to add a little pizzazz to it.

BTW i did not take a before picture, so I googled a picture that appeared similar to the bookcase before the upgrade (I found the pic at thatswhatmakesmyheartbea blog)

I used scrap booking paper from a local scraft store (about 30) and used spray glue and..tada!! awesome bookshelf!!!! (at least i think so)
